Composition and Mechanism of Action
KACHGENTYL-BH leverages the synergistic effects of Gentamicin and Tylosin. Gentamicin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, disrupts bacterial protein synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Tylosin, a macrolide antibiotic, inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria. Bromhexine HCI enhances respiratory function by breaking down and clearing mucus from the airways.
Indications
KACHGENTYL-BH is recommended for the prevention and treatment of mixed bacterial infections due to microorganisms susceptible to Gentamicin and/or Tylosin such as Respiratory Diseases (CRD, Bronchitis, Pneumonia), Mycoplasmosis, Arthritis, Gastrointestinal Infections (Salmonellosis, Enteritis), Urogenital tract infections, Dysentery and Mastitis in Poultry, Pig, Dog, Cat, Sheep, Goat, and Cattle. The Bromhexine constituent makes KACHGENTYL-BH specially ideal for the treatment of upper and lower respiratory diseases.
KACHGENTYL-BH is indicated for the prevention and treatment of various infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. Its broad-spectrum efficacy covers:
- Respiratory Diseases: Effective against CRD, Bronchitis, and Pneumonia.
- Mycoplasmosis: Addresses infections caused by Mycoplasma species.
- Arthritis: Treats bacterial arthritis in animals.
- Gastrointestinal Infections: Effective against Salmonellosis and Enteritis.
- Urogenital Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the urogenital tract.
- Dysentery and Mastitis: Addresses these conditions in poultry, pigs, dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and cattle.
Dosage and Administration
KACHGENTYL-BH should be administered as per the prescribed dosage, tailored to the specific needs of the animal being treated. Always consult with a veterinarian for appropriate usage.
Poultry: 100g per 400 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Calves: 1g per 30kg body weight for 4-6 days.
Pigs: 10g per 25 litres of drinking water for 4-6 days.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
Withdrawal Period:
Meat: 8 days
Egg: 18 days.
Storage:
Store in a dry, dark place between 2°C and 25°C. Store in a closed packing. Keep the medicine away from children.
Contra-Indication:
Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to Tylosin, cross-resistance with macrolides may appear. Also do not administer to animals with impaired vestibular, renal, or liver functions and do not use in lactating animals if milk is intended for human consumption.
Side Effects:
Kidney damage and or ototoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions like gastrointestinal disturbances or changes of intestinal flora.
