INDICATIONS:
For the preventing and treatment of iron deficiency anaemia including neonatal anaemia in pigs, foal, calf, dog, lamb, and enhances immunity.
(1) It increases the baby pigs’ survival rate and enhances the ability of fighting against disease and relieves stress, prevents White Muscle Disease.
(2) It treats the postpartum anaemia, operation anaemia, parasite anaemia, and nutrition.
(3) It has a good effect on preventing and curing iron-deficiency anaemia in piglet
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient. Do not use in older pigs as ham staining may occur in animals over 4 weeks of age.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Occasional deaths have occurred in piglets following the administration of parenteral iron dextran preparations. These deaths have been associated with maternal dietary deficiency of vitamin E and/or selenium. In addition, occasional piglet deaths have been reported which have been attributed to an increased susceptibility to infection due to the temporary blocking of the reticuloendothelial system by the iron dextran colloidal solution as it is being absorbed.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For deep intramuscular or subcutaneous injection at a suitable injection site. Treatment:
PIGS: 3-5ml first injection. Second injection 7 days later;
CATTLE, HORSE: 5-8ml first injection, second injection 7 days later;
CALVES, FOALS: 3-8ml first week of life, second injection 7 days later;
SHEEP, GOAT: 3-4ml first injection, second injection 7 days later;
DOGS: 0.5-2ml first injection;
SOWS: 5ml two weeks before farrowing;
STORAGE:
Store in a dry, dark place below 30°C.
Keep out of children’s reach.
WITHDRAWAL PERIODS:
For meat: 28 days.
PIGLET: 2ml on the 3rd day of life and day 21 of life.
