Indications

KACHGENDOX-BH (20/20 WSP) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of GIT and respiratory tract infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to gentamicin and/or doxycycline, including:

  • E. coli
  • Salmonella spp.
  • Pseudomonas spp.
  • Klebsiella spp.
  • Pasteurella spp.
  • Mycoplasma spp.
  • Staphylococcus spp.
  • Streptococcus spp.
  • Campylobacter fetus subsp. jejuni
  • Treponema hyodysenteriae
  • Corynebacteria
  • Bacillus anthracis
  • Clostridium spp.
  • Actinomyces spp.
  • Brucella spp.
  • Enterobacter spp.
  • Shigella spp.
  • Yersinia spp.

These pathogens commonly cause conditions such as colibacillosis, salmonellosis, respiratory diseases (e.g., CRD), enteritis, and anthrax.

  • Store between 2°C and 25°C in a dry, dark place.

Administration and Dosage

Poultry:

  • Add 100g to every 300 liters of drinking water for 3–5 days.

Calves:

  • Administer 1g per 30kg bodyweight for 4–6 days.

Pigs:

  • Add 100g to every 200 liters of drinking water for 4–6 days.

Important: Medicated drinking water should be prepared fresh and used within 24 hours for maximum effectiveness.

Withdrawal Periods

  • Meat:
    • Poultry: 7 days
    • Cattle: 90 days
    • Pigs: 40 days
  • Eggs: 14 days

Precautions and Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity: Do not administer to animals allergic to aminoglycosides or tetracyclines.
  • Organ Function: Avoid in animals with impaired kidney, liver, or vestibular function.
  • Potential Toxicity: Gentamicin is nephrotoxic and ototoxic; use caution in vulnerable animals.
  • Drug Interactions: Do not combine with nephrotoxic or muscle-paralyzing medications.
  • Lactation: Do not use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
